2010 Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta:

In less than a week, the 15th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta will once again be held at Clark Freeport Zone. The said event will run from February 11 to 14, 2010.

Dubbed as a “Weekend of everything that flies,” the event features a number of activities that involved, well, everything that flies – hot air balloons, kites, parasailing, skydiving, ultralights and more.

Aside from the “flying attractions,” the event also hosts a number of booths in what it called as a “fly market” which features products from foods, clothing, gadgets, and other specialties.

The main attractions of the event of course, would still be the hot air balloons which come in different shapes, designs and colors. An opportunity to ride a hot air balloon, I believe is also possible for a fee.

Welcome to Angeles City! A city within the province of Pampanga, Philippines

The city where the famous “sisig” originated, and home to great culinary talents. Kapampangan are known to be excellent cooks!

Angeles City is also home to the Clark Freeport Zone, a thriving business zone where lots of investors, both local and international, are setting up business to.

Clark Freeport Zone was formerly known as the Clark  Air Base, the largest United States military facility outside US.

When Mt. Pinatubo erupted in 1991, the US Air Force pulled out from the base, greatly affecting the economy of the city which was heavily dependent at the time.

But resilient as the Kapampangans are, they were able to rise from the ashes of Pinatubo, and city is now once again growing, with more business opening up inside the freeport zone as well as in the city proper.

So, let us explore the city. The history and the future, the flourishing business environment and different activities going on.
