Summer’s here and when it’s hot, Filipinos will always welcome a serving of halo-halo, that delicious creamy concoction of shaved ice, milk and boiled sweet beans, macapuno and more. Some would top it with leche plan or ice cream or ube halaya.
And when it comes to this favorite Filipino dessert, Angeles City is not lacking in its own version of the delicious summer treat. Here are just some of the places where you can get your serving of halo-halo.
RFW
Located along Sto. Rosario St., San Jose Angeles City, you will not miss this especially if you frequently go to the church at the Carmelite Monastery because it is located right in front of the church. One of the “softest” halo-halo ice I’ve ever tasted. They also serve delicious palabok, puto and more.
Halo-halo sa Corazon
Originally started as a small business in Corazon St., Nepo Subdivision, Angeles City, it has become a favorite destination for halo-halo lovers near and far that they have to clean the adjacent vacant lot to create parking space for their customers.
They now have branches in McArthur Highway, Claro M. Recto and in Nepo Quadrangle (right in front of Nepo Mall) to reach more customers who wants to sample their delicious serving of halo-halo as well as other delicious treats.
Razon’s
Though it originated from Guagua, Razon’s halo-halo has also made its mark in Angeles City, and has number of franchises around the city. There is one in the Nepo Quadrangle, just adjacent to the Manson Drug, and another one in McArthur Highway, Salapungan side.
Cool Spot
Before there were RFW, Corazon or Razon’s, there was already cool spot. Located along Mabini St., Angeles City, Cool Spot is favorite destination for the budget conscious. Aside from halo-halo, they also serve cake slices.
Try to sample all of these places when you’re in Angeles City.
This more within my budget range unlike the hot air balloons. Sabi ni Rey Jr. dollars daw ang bayad dun eh.
